Acrylic painting of elk in an autumn Colorado valley beneath snow-capped Rocky Mountain peaks
KBEwingArts · A Family Legacy

The Rockies in acrylic. The Pyramid in line and gold.

Forty years of Colorado landscape painting by Bob Ewing, and a decade of Great Pyramid graphic art by his son Kyle — signed prints and framed originals, brought out of the family archive.

About KBEwingArts

A family legacy,
and a homebase for us all.

This is a family legacy project, meant to carry on the heritage of the Ewing family through acrylic painting and graphic art. Most of the prints were made of the Colorado landscape, and we are reviving art prints from the last forty years so this generation may enjoy the aesthetics, the ambience and the crafted enthusiasm Bob shares in his art with such refined lines.

Kyle has worked for over ten years perfecting his graphic art formulations of the Great Pyramid. Between them there is dedication, brilliance and a sense of downhomeness — and a spiritual perspective that runs underneath all of it, in how we choose to live our lives in these rapidly changing days on our planet home.

In Dedication

Shareen Ewing

This website is dedicated to Shareen Ewing, who passed away in late October 2025. She lived surrounded by this art — her husband Bob’s mountains and rivers, her son Kyle’s drawings of the Pyramid — and she is the reason all of it is now being brought into the light.

Think of this place as a homebase: somewhere to share art with elegance and grace, to gather our thoughts, and to look after each other. Proceeds help provide for Kyle in the years ahead.

“Carried on, with grace.”

Bob Ewing

Bob paints the natural landscape he has lived inside for a lifetime: the Rocky Mountains, the plains, the rivers, and the elk and deer that move through them. Acrylic, built up in thin layers, with the refined, precise line work that anyone who knows his paintings recognises immediately.

Four decades of canvases and prints sit behind this gallery. Some were printed in small runs long ago; others have never left the family. We are bringing them out a few at a time.

Kyle Ewing

Kyle has spent more than ten years perfecting his graphic art formulations of the Great Pyramid in Egypt — the angles, the chambers, the proportions and the alignments, drawn and corrected and drawn again until the whole structure holds together on one sheet.

His pieces are printed with a laminated finish and signed. They are shown here beside his father’s mountains on purpose: the same patient attention, pointed in two directions.

FAQ

Questions, answered

The originals are Bob’s acrylic paintings themselves, most of them still in the wood frames he made for them, and there is only ever one of each. The prints are reproductions of those paintings on archival paper, signed and numbered by hand, so more than one family can live with the same image.

Prints generally run from about $80 to $250 depending on size, and framed originals from around $400 to $500 or more. Every price is listed with the piece, so nothing is a guessing game. If a size you want is not shown, write to us and we will tell you what is possible.

Bob Ewing paints the natural Colorado landscape — the Rocky Mountains, the plains, the rivers and the animals — in acrylic, with the refined line work that has been his signature for over forty years. His son Kyle Ewing makes intricate graphic art centred on the Great Pyramid in Egypt, work he has been perfecting for more than a decade.

Much of Bob’s work was printed decades ago in small numbers and then quietly put away. We are reviving those images so this generation can enjoy them, working from surviving prints where the paper has held up and from the original paintings where it has not.

Prints ship flat or rolled depending on size, protected and tracked. Framed originals are wrapped, boxed and shipped insured, and we email you the tracking the day the piece leaves. Local collectors in Colorado are welcome to arrange pickup instead.

This is a family legacy project. Proceeds support the Ewing family’s work and, in particular, provide for Kyle, who is disabled, in the years ahead. Buying a piece here keeps an artist painting and a family together.
